LGBTQ+ Advocacy Group: Learn. Advocate. Celebrate. Act.

The LGBTQ+ Advocacy Group is one of the newest—and growing—groups within the League of
Women Voters Milwaukee County, and we're just getting started!

We are an enthusiastic, ambitious, and action-oriented team working to advance the League's
commitment to equality, democracy, and human rights for LGBTQ+ people and our allies. Through
education, advocacy, voter engagement, and a healthy dose of fun, we bring people together to make a
difference.

Our signature events include Drag Bingo at POP! each spring, PrideFest and the Milwaukee Pride
Parade in the summer, Blu Tending in the fall, and a growing calendar of community programs
throughout the year. We also provide voter education, outreach, training, and support wherever it is
needed, helping people become informed, empowered participants in our democracy.

We're activists, organizers, educators, and doers. We believe that showing up matters. Whether you're
passionate about LGBTQ+ rights, voter engagement, community building, or simply looking for a
welcoming place to put your values into action, you'll find a home with us.
